I spent 20 years at Amazon, starting as an engineer and later running engineering teams and businesses. I worked in logistics, security, retail forecasting, personalization, and global marketing systems, usually on problems that were new to me.

Much of my work involved building teams from scratch, helping organizations that had lost focus, and operating systems where failures had real customer consequences. I worked across North America and Europe.

I care about technical ownership, simple operating models, and keeping engineers and leaders close to the consequences of what they build.
