There's no content there for me but I'm curious. Perhaps someone can paste the content? ( Describing a bear ) “A tracker caught one for him, bopped it on the head with his rifle, and tied it to a tree.“ Everything the writer said after that was questionable to me. Maybe too flippant just once, I wonder how much actual truth was in every sentence. That was the story that was current back then, at least the tying to a tree part. It may have been invented, but not by the New Yorker writer.
